Punnathoor Kotta: A centre for Captive Elephants, Thrissur

Over forty elephants are groomed at the Punnathoor Kotta ( kotta means fort) Campus. Most of the Elephants are brought as ritual offering to the Guruvayoor temple. You can spend a whole day with these huge mammals here. This place is near Guruvayoor Temple in Trissur District, Kerala, India.
